Twenty-four years of these

The reviews are the whole argument.

Clients sign non-disclosure agreements, so these run with first names only. That is also the point: the work goes out under their name, never ours.

I got called to LA for a meeting with a big producer. They said they both liked the script and expressed interest in working with me.

How the work runs

Five steps, and you can stop after the first.

STEP 01

You call

A person answers, day or night. You describe the project. You owe nothing and you sign nothing.

STEP 02

We assign a writer

From two dozen on staff, the one who has already written your kind of thing. You see the writer’s credits first.

STEP 03

Contract, then deposit

Scope, price and payment schedule in writing before a word is written. Payment plans on long books.

STEP 04

Drafts, in stages

Interviews and notes go in, pages come back. You read as we go and say what is wrong. That is the job.

STEP 05

You take it from there

Finished manuscript, script or speech. You own it, and we never mention it again.

The staff

You are hiring a person, not a platform.

Twenty-six writers on payroll, all in the United States. Here are nine of them.

Why the paperwork matters

This industry has a scam problem. We answer it with documents.

A contract first

Scope, deadline, revisions and price, signed before the deposit clears.

Payment in stages

Money follows pages. Nobody hands over a book fee up front.

Confidentiality, in writing

NDAs both directions. We do not publish your name, your title or your story.

People, not software

American writers on staff. We do not farm work out overseas and we do not sell machine drafts as writing.

Tell us what you are trying to say.

Ten minutes on the phone and you will know what it costs, who would write it and how long it takes. If the answer is that you should write it yourself, we will tell you that too.
